This morning I felt inspired to clean out my refrigerator. I usually do this the day I go get groceries. This day I decided to do a thorough cleaning. It’s a new year 2021 and I realized I needed to get rid of any bottles of mayo, ketchup and anything else that had the expiration date of 2020. I didn’t realize how many items I had that expired and should be thrown away. So I encourage you today to do that.
We need to examine ourselves and see what things we are bringing into the new year that God is saying, “get rid of it”. I don’t know about you but there was a lot of stuff in 2020 that I don’t want to repeat or keep hold of. Look at 2021 as a new journey and purpose God wants to take you into. Maybe it doesn’t appear promising, don’t allow the enemy to take you back to the old things, it is toxic to you spiritually. Scripture says we are to renew our minds, that means to begin again. Ask God to help you to walk in this new year refreshed and renewed in him. Clean out your closet, clean out those things that keep you frozen in your past.
Because you will not able to move forward in victory. I am excited to see my refrigerator, clean and now that the old is gone, I am able to fill it with new things. I have the space for it. Make room for God to “create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10. Allow God to use you like never before in the coming year. God I want to be steadfast, firm in your purpose and plan for me. I want My eyes fixed, and unwavering in my faith or position in you.
